2026 STEM Summer CAMP
Leverage in Jiu Jitsu
Ages 8–13 | July 13–17 | 12:30–4:00 PM
Give your child an unforgettable week that blends the excitement of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with real-world science!
Our unique half-day camp combines daily BJJ training (technique, drills, and games) with hands-on physics projects! Campers will explore leverage, force, torque, and momentum while building and testing models directly connected to the moves they’re learning on the mat.
Taught by a PhD chemist and an exercise physiologist, this program turns the science behind Jiu-Jitsu into something kids can see, feel, understand, and, present — building both athletic skills and critical thinking.
What to expect:
Fun, structured BJJ classes in a safe, welcoming environment
Engaging STEM projects that make physics and biomechanics come alive
Small groups, experienced instructors, and plenty of movement and learning
A perfect mix for kids who love martial arts and want to discover the “why” behind it
What to bring:
Clean athletic clothing (a gi is not required)
Slip on shoes
A water bottle and a healthy afternoon snack
