Our doors will be closed for Halloween on Friday, October 31st, 2025, so our team can dive into the holiday's ghostly fun with family and friends. We'll reopen energized on November 1st.

Join Ground Rules Academy on November 11, 2025, from 11 AM–1 PM for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu open mat supporting the We Defy Foundation. All donations benefit veterans with disabilities through adaptive fitness programs. Open to all levels—no participation required to donate.

Ruby Duncan, our academy's first female adult competitor, earned double gold 🥇🥇 at the BJJ Tour in Fremont. She won both gi and no-gi divisions, including close matches against Victoria Ortega with an armbar submission and strong top control.

Considering competition? These Bay Area BJJ events suit beginners: the Solidarity Jiu Jitsu South Bay Fall Invitational (Oct 25, San Jose) for a relaxed start, or the Jiu Jitsu World League Finals NORCAL (Nov 22, Stockton) at $89 youth/$99 adults (free rash guard if registered by Oct 24).
